VIII meeting of the Council of Heads of the Representations of Russian regions

On October 17, Moscow hosted the VIII meeting of the Council of Heads of the Representations of Russian regions to the President and the Government of the Russian Federation. The topic of the meeting is “Implementation of national projects: a regional aspect”.

The organizer of the event, Director of GKU SR “Representation of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region in the state authorities of the Russian Federation Alexander Ovcharov, made a welcoming speech and thanked the founder of Council of Heads of the Representations of Russian regions Grigory Sarishvili, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Komi Republic / Permanent Representative of the Komi Republic to the President of the Russian Federation.

Presentations on the implementation of national projects, monitoring and control of their implementation, as well as mechanisms of interaction between federal and regional authorities were made by representatives of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Finance of Russia, the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation, RANEPA, as well as the First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)/ Permanent Representative of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) to the President of the Russian Federation, Head of the Representative Office of the Kaliningrad Region Government under the Government of the Russian Federation.

Following the results of the official part of the meeting, a lively discussion was held between all participants in the meeting.

The meeting was attended by over 100 representatives of various regions of the Russian Federation.

The baton of the next meeting of the Council was adopted by the Ulyanovsk region.  This was announced by a member of the Presidium of the Council – Director of the OGKU “Representative Office of the Ulyanovsk Region under the Government of the Russian Federation” Boris Levchenko.

The next meeting of the Council will be held in February-March 2020.
